Worst Airports for Business Travelers
Business travelers, beware: not all airports are created equal. If you’re flying through Beijing, Paris, or Singapore, prepare for delays. A report by Lets Fly Cheaper analyzed delayed flights, delayed departures, and flight volume– important statistics for business travelers with tight schedules and important meetings. U.S. airports had a strong presence in the list, with Houston, Chicago, and Denver among the worst offenders, with 13% or more delayed flights. If you’re departing from or connecting through any of these airports, it might be a good idea to pad your itinerary to make up for potential delays.
Although these might be the worst airports in terms of scheduling, many of them are highly ranked in terms of amenities and ambiance. Singapore Changai scored the “Golden Pillow Award” on SleepingInAirports.net for its pool and spa, video game and music lounges, clean bathrooms, napping areas, and movie theater. However, both Paris CDG and LAX have earned reputations as unpleasant places to spend any more time than absolutely necessary. Know before you go!
