Hyatt Goes Organic

Hyatt Goes Organic

In an across-the-board food and beverage initiative, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has launched of a new sourcing policy tied to sustainable, organic, and naturally raised food and beverage choices at its 488 properties.

On Hyatt’s official blog, hospitality chain summed up its new direction in five words, reminiscent of whole food evangelist Michael Pollan’s credo, “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”

Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served. What does it mean exactly? To us, it’s a commitment to food and beverages that are good for our people, our planet and our communities.

Hyatt spent two years researching the best ways to implement this program, designed to benefit not only health-conscious guests, but also the environment and local economies. It was designed to complement Hyatt Thrive, their corporate social responsibility platform. Their new food and beverage philosophy will show up everywhere from room service to banquets. Whether it’s cage-free eggs, sustainably raised fish, or salad greens from a local farmer’s market, Hyatt is committed to bringing the healthiest, freshest ingredients to you whenever you stay at one of their properties.
