Hotel Cat Counteracts Bad Luck
If thirteen dine together, one will be dead within a year. Or so the superstition goes. One way to cancel out one source of bad luck– according to the Savoy Hotel in London– is to add another. That’s why, whenever the hotel restaurant has a table of thirteen, the party will be joined by Kaspar, the black cat.
Kaspar has impeccable table manners, because he’s actually a sculpture. But the cat mascot has become legend around the hotel: there are even books that document his adventures.
So if you sense a bout of bad luck headed your way during this season of spooks and shivers, perhaps consider a trip to London to have dinner with Kaspar.
