Do Disney Like a Cast Member: Downtown Disney & Beyond
Years ago I was a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Most Cast Members are the biggest Disney fans you can find, so we all frequented the parks on our days off. Here are a few tips, tricks, and some extra magic on a park-by-park basis so you can do Disney like seasoned veteran.
In Downtown Disney & Beyond, La Nouba is one of the more amazing shows I have seen by Cirque Du Soleil. It will keep the kids engaged while amazing the adults. Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is an old-fashioned dinner show located at the Fort Wilderness Campsites, with music, comedy, dancing saloon girls and all you can eat southern food served family style.
Victoria and Albert’s is the finest dining you can get at Disney, the place of many a proposal and the recipient of the Five Diamond award for thirteen years. Definitely worth the splurge!.
The miniature golf courses on property are worth every penny! They give you the full Disney experience; the holes make up and follow various Disney storylines, always with a big and difficult finish.
Jellyrolls, an outrageous dueling piano bar, features great music and a fun out-of-the-way spot in the Disney Boardwalk Area.
Beaches and Cream in the Beach Club Resort is an old fashioned soda parlor. Great ice cream, and shakes. Don’t forget this is where you can order the Kitchen Sink: 8 scoops of ice cream, 2 cupcakes, 4 cream filled chocolate chip cookies, a candy bar, a brownie and approximately 4 cups of various other sugary topping all served in a Kitchen Sink!
